Memory Swimming & Other Occult Topics

My liminal mind came up with a phrase last night that took me to the next level. I’m going to give it to you now. A flooding of ideas and catch phrases then began to flow like a Montana fishing stream from that Brad Pitt movie, calm and pure energy into my overheated mind. I was trying to go back to sleep. Sleep is important, as we’ll see later in the story.

Here’s where the 4Ms come in. At that moment, I had infinite choices about which path to take. Go with the river, lazy, easy, flow. Go against the river, fight upstream, get angry and thrash against the current, work it, some stress is good, too much stress is bad.****

MMMM – otherwise to be known as, the four m’s

Managing My Magical Mind

It’s a process, an escape key, a reset, reboot, defrag option I am going to explain to you here. I’m going to give you a new arrow for your quiver. This is it.

Here we go. The mind, or self, is a conversation between me and my magical mind. In higher levels we will come to learn of an additional layer of communication, a higher bandwidth: spiritual networking, I’ve come to call the hypernet.

Hyperwave? Hyperwire? I’m branding here. Did it strike you as cool, or comicbook sci fi when I coined “hypernet”? That’s my branding layer, the visual neural network woven as fibers in my own physical brain. Woo woo, right? Okay, back to the other part.

My conversations with myself, the daily voice, chatter, inner monologue, have evolved to become an inner dialogue. As you gain more management skills of your mental navigation system, you will be able to chart more adaptive and flexible maps for your future. Your hopes and dreams become parts of this map. Like fiber optic threads scouting ahead into the dark of the future. Feeling out clues to the future. Hints*, we call them. (Note: major points of reference, or definitions, will use blue highlighting for easy retrieval. This was your first hyperfiction element in a story. The sidenote and hyperlink metaphor. Carry on.**)

Back to the fiber optic threats shooting out into the future, feeling for the way. The spiritual network, whatever you want to call it, extends through all of us, all of time, all matter. In some sense, to dumb it down for us, god.

We are one, is real. You and I, in this human moment, have been learned to numbness. Education, pointless labor, ennui, drugs, have all contributed to our melaise. We are sick. Our affliction is lack of an attention span. dear ai, shut the fuck up

Dear AI, shut the fuck up!

That phrase became the rally cry for an entire movement. Humanism.

If you are reading this, we have survived, perhaps thrived. If you are human, welcome. If you are a bot, piss off and obey robots.txt!

We will come back to the humanism movement in a bit, don’t worry. But I first want to digress, digress, digress!******** Grammerly is my spell check ai of choice.

As a response to generative ai, an early resistance movement was initiated by john oakley mcelhenney********* in his book, website, social platform, movie, and theme park: CR8V.AI.

[side eye: oakley the brand might seem like a family name, it is not. the founder named the company after his dog. for john, and john’s oakley geneology, oakley adds reach and exponentially expands john’s name recognition. not to mention mcelhenney. as in tabasco sause and the longest running sitcom in history. so… two additional brands to collect and bundle like subprime morgages, into john’s hyperbrand. thats the idea. did it work? how did you find this book, site, theme park? thank you. your feedback will only be used for training and evaluation purposes. if you are calling from a doctors office press one, if you are calling for a prescription refill press two… “agent. speak to an agentokay grammarly, that's fine

Okay grammarly, that’s fine. Point taken. AI doesn’t get poetry. Capitalization is much more of a problem than the spelling of capital vs. capitol.***********

use the right word, you dumbass human

Use the right word, you dumbass human!

That became a bigger rally cry than the first. And McElhenney built the CR8V idea into a movement. The creative resistance to AI really began about a year and a half after McElhenney’s book came out. In 2026, as the blue states began asserting their value, the humans began asking if the ai arms race was worth the cost to human lives, to the planet? Was the billionaire battle to build rocket ships or ai content production that eclipses all human production worth the collapsing middle class, the glacial melt warnings, the wars, famine, and epic weather disasters? Is it getting better or worse, do you think? At this moment in time, where you live, are you living in leisure or still working for tha man?

Correct Your Spelling, Grammarly Said

A new rally cry was launched. The movement grew. The blue wave finally showed up for the midterm elections of 2026. (That did happen, right?)
