Lenny Love Blanket (LLB)

Dogs are different.

Dogs are known as LLBs. Named after my daughter’s golden doodle, Lenny. Dogs serve a calming function. Dogs simulate closeness better than cats. Dogs worry about you when you are not in sight. Dogs are magical and lovely and somewhat dim. Lenny is the smartest dog I have the acquaintance of, and he’s not that bright. I think the dolphins are on the verge of talking English or French. I like the idea of them sashaying in with French. So sophisticated. I’m not that good at French either, but I get dog.

Dog consists of about three phrases. “where are we going” “i’m so glad you’re alive, I was trying to find the dog food” and “i represent all the love energy in the universe.”

I am thread dog. Or love. Lenny is dog one for me, for the purposes of naming, but I’ve known several great dogs in my human timeline so far. I might go into that later.

A dog is like a security blanket. A loving animal. Loyal. Fierce if attacked. And a head full of butterflies.

A cat is a beacon of light. A thread that also crosses time and space, like love, but a cat brings intelligence and mindfulness. A cat has been a part of every great writer since the dawn of time, or as long as we’ve been keeping written records of such things. A long time. Cats are comms.

Here’s the part I was trying to explain earlier, before I got distracted.

Cats are the perfect embodiment of God, as best as we can comprehend God. (Give me a moment, I’ll explain.) Cats are the communications hotspot for the spiritual network. Sorry, perros, love is powerful, but it ain’t God.

Here’s the equation as it’s coming to me at this moment, type type typing…

ONE:CAT

{you still with us?}

There is only and has only ever been one cat. Cats may not be God, but damn close. My childhood cat, Raja, was my first contact. My bio-memory says he was a Burmese, sable brown, golden eyes, medium tail. Raja, it was said, fought rattlesnakes in the woods behind and above the castle on the lake. The cat survived and a white spot would appear on one of Raja’s paws to mark the victory over death, or the snake.

My holy cat was Peter Lake, also a male sable Burmese. Today, Hunter S. Thompson and Sid, share cat vibes. Same cat. Slightly different physical manifestations of cat, but of the one cat.

Here’s where we warp your mind. Man and Woman are like that, too. ONE:MAN and ONE:WOMAN. At the moment there is not an inbetween or non-binary choice, but that’s simply Mother Nature. Science is working to produce hybrids.

Let’s go back to cats. Your face is sort of pale. I think that last bit frightened you.

Think of Peter Lake as my spiritual and visual representative of cat. All cats before, Raja, and after, Hunter or Sid, are branches of Peter. That’s my Cat Map. For me, Peter is like my cat angel, if there were such a thing. Cats don’t need physical bodies to be present with you, but you already know that, right?

One more bit about the magic of cats. The thing about their purr being a healing energy… That’s 100% true.

Let me give you an example.

Just a little bit ago, Sid was finding a comfy place on my chest. We were able to negotiate our positions and I was able to continue writing. Sid was putting out strong purr healing vibes even as her small head drooped and she fell asleep. She was directly on top of my human heart. She had aligned her cat heart with my human heart. She was wirelessly recharging the joy in my heart muscle. Kinda like reversing the aging process. Not exactly, but in that realm.

Another thing about a cats love and affection: cats always notice kindness. They will never forget or forgive, however, if things get heated. What I was getting at is, cats always, 100% of the time, appreciate any and all kindness in the universe, and particularly in your space and time.

Sid asleep on my chest, swayed slightly with the rhythm of my breath. Silent. One finger, rubbed on her head, bzzzzzzzzzzt. Healing purrs all around. She eventually falls back asleep on my heart. Little swish of her tale across my arm. I pet her back. Wild purr magic.

A cat will always appreciate your kindness. Your affection, even more so. In return a cat will give you a. blessing, b. wish, c. good luck.

They can’t not give it to you. Kerouac said his brother TiJean knew it. Understood that a cat jumping into your lap was the cat blessing you. That is absolutely the truth.

I am no cat. I can tell you your cat, your ONE:CAT, is very pleased with you.

Big purrs all around.
