LISTEN: The Happy Cashier Podcast is LIVE

We have a limited amount of time together, on this planet, in life, and as your food and hopes vibrate gently toward me on the clean black belt of aisle number six. I am here to receive you and to process your request with respect and ease. It is not my desire to draw attention to myself, only to serve you. I am watching, listening, and searching for clues.

I greet you. From that moment on we either have a fruitful connection, a functional-only one, or something in between. It is 100% up to you. It is my intention to hold back my own enthusiasm or story and listen for yours.

“How are you doing today?” That is my opening.

“Did you find everything you were looking for?” An opening for you to engage or not. It is up to you how you respond based on your own energy, your thoughts, and how your day is going.

Sometimes, I’ll admit I’m a bit over-eager to share or include you in my story. I make mistakes. I listen more. I find quiet and peace even as the hustle and bustle of the lunch rush is causing lines to form behind you and all over the store. We have this time. A moment.

May you be safe.

I’ll start by staying in my lane. Keeping my own thoughts to myself.

May you be healthy.

I always wish you good health. (Again, this is a silent idea I share with you, in my loving thoughts.)

May you be happy.

I absolutely want the best for you. No agenda.

May you live with ease.

We can all do with a little more kindness and mindfulness towards each other. This is mine. I hope your life, your work, your family, and your dreams are all going well. That is my wish for you.

In just thirty seconds, we can share a lot of information even if very few words are spoken. I look for a glimmer in your eyes. I also know my place as the gatekeeper for a simple task, the exchange of currency for a more vibrant life. (In this example: organic food, health and wellness items, and joy.)

And you are gone. I will be here.
