no heat
red-tailed hawk
swirls by
on my way
out
watches from a water tower
as i glower glow and remember
she is beautiful
and dim
tries to steal babies
for its babies
the wren mom is guarding
wren dad harrassing
mom hawk is patient persistent
i listen to the earth
my body
heartstrings no longer vibrating
songs missed
a scroll mid-poem
illuminates my own need
to be overwhelming
it is time to let her speak
