A lot of things are up in the air at this moment in history. Many things not to my personal liking. I see the “red hats” and “cybertruck bros” and I have to love them too. I can’t get hard and spiteful. I must remain open and relaxed. We don’t have to talk politics.
For the most part, people shopping in an organic grocery store are somewhat aligned with the progressive or liberal outlook. They are empathetic for fellow Earthlings. It’s our neo-hippie tribe. Seeking our own health and wellness while not damaging or imposing our beliefs and rules on others. Don’t like alcohol? Don’t drink. Don’t like gluten, “Here I have just the pasta for you, it’s made of almond flower.”
Love is the energy that flows between all humans. Some of us are tuned in. Many more are tuned out. Out of touch with ourselves. Overrun by the “monkey mind.” Swiping and texting when we should be breathing and looking around.
I am not in a blue bubble, my eyes are open. I am, however, somewhat of an activist. I believe in the power of the people. I want what’s best for most Americans, most humans on planet Earth, and not just my friends, my country, my religious beliefs or income tax bracket.
I love all of you. I can love you and disagree with you. We can talk about Peonies and shaved parmesan. We can remain friends even when experiencing life from the opposite sides of the aisle. When you’re in my line, you’re in my aisle.
“How can I help?”
The hope I see in others
becomes the hope I have for myself,
my life, and my own journey.
