on astor the dames wait in the rain
everything is possible
the bus to take them in the heart of the city
where drinks would fly kisses were tossed and jazz blew hot
lively conversation was difficult on account of the music
lean in close and whisper
message received
next partner next and next next next
if it was up to me
i’d a taken one home
given them a hot bath and a shot of gin
dames love gin
makes them fuzzy and loose
