the site was taking a long time to load
i had to pee
my phone was on 3%
and my coffee was making me jittery
i needed food
bandwidth
and quiet beyond what my noise-canceling buds provided

a burst of words
poetry
at each pause
stuck in traffic = poem
hold music = poem
slow internet
you get the idea

what is 15 seconds worth
inertia
stop
pause
breathe
mad mad madness

black friday came and went without notice
the sale will continue through infinity
and the hollow feeling
creeping in
won’t vape away
it is a question
an xiety
what has gotten you down
impatience all around
even inside
word searching for a closing
bat

crazy
